Preparation:
Disconnect the negative terminal of the battery (to avoid accidental contact with other components).
Lift the vehicle (if you need to remove the slave cylinder).
Remove the old pump:
Master cylinder: remove the pedal connecting pin, and oil pipe, and remove the fixing bolts.
Slave cylinder: remove the oil pipe, release the bearing push rod, and remove the fixing screws.
Install the new pump:
Install in reverse order, making sure the oil pipe joint is tight.
The master cylinder needs to adjust the clearance between the push rod and the pedal (refer to the maintenance manual).
Filling and exhausting:
Fill DOT4 hydraulic oil to the standard level.
Use the two-person exhaust method or vacuum tool to exhaust all the air.
Test:
Check the force and rebound by stepping on the pedal, and test whether the clutch is smooth when the gear is engaged.
